Gezhouba Group Machinery & Ship Co., Ltd. of China（hereinafter called the corporation）has changed name from Gezhouba Group Machinery Co., Ltd. . It has increased business scope and the registration capital in cash, and approved the agreement of the State Administration for Industry & Commerce and registered at the Industrial & Commercial Administration Bureau of Hubei Province in January, 2005. The predecessor of the corporation is Gezhouba Group Machinery Co., Ltd., which was established in 1971.

The corporation covers 2,607,346 square meters and 2 kilometers coastline with the registered capital 109,300,000 RMB and asset about 450,000,000 RMB. There are 1,409 sets of varied equipment. The total output of equipment is 24,000KW. The corporation has annual synthesis productivity of metal structure manufacture installation 60,000 tons, the machine manufacture 15,000 tons, and the ship building 60,000 deadweight tonnage.

There is 977 staff in the corporation including 264 engineers, economists and accountants, 134 intermediate and senior professional title personnel, 19 senior technicians, 66 technicians. 399 persons have college education and 13 persons are first degree architects.

The corporation has 4 offices, 15 departments, 6 factories, 11 engineering departments, 2 subsidiaries and 1 company in trust.

The corporation had obtained professional contract first-grade Enterprise Qualification Certificate of “lifting equipment manufacturing and installing project, hydraulic metal structure manufacturing and installing project，steel structure manufacturing and installing project” issued by the Ministry of Construction P.R.C; over-large Miter Gate, over-large Radial Lock Gate, over-large Plane Fixed-wheel Lock Gate, over-large Plane Sliding Lock Gate, over-large Trash Rack, large Raking Equipment, large Penstock，Power plant gate type hoist crane, bridge type hoist crane, harbor gate place type hoist crane special equipment manufacturing, installing, alteration, repair & maintenance certificate issued by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of P.R.C; over-large Movable Headstock Gears, Fixed Winch Headstock Gears and large Hydraulic Hoists issued by Ministry of Water Resources of P.R.C; the certificate of the fist class II group building and repairing of general ships issued by the Office of Science Technology and Industry for National Defence of Hubei Province; the certificate of Safety in Production issued by the Construction Department of Hubei Province; the certificate of Quality administration System, Environment administration System and occupational safety and health administration System.

The corporation is engaged in building and repairing of ships, manufacturing and installing of hydraulic metal structure, highway steel bridge and lifting equipment. Over the last thirty years, the corporation has installed 450,000 tons steel structure for more than 100 power stations and built more than 150 various vessels. All of the products which have made great contributions are working well. And most of the products are the best. The lifting capacity of 8000KN Headstock Gear which was made for the Tankeng power station in Zhejiang is the biggest in our country. Climbing cage for inclined and vertical shaft developed and produced by the corporation has filled the gap of Chinese market. Cabinet designed and produced by the corporation won the third prize of National Scientific and Technical Progress. The output of miter gates is the largest in our country. Both of the under building carriers of 10000 DWT asphalt carrier and 3700 m³ LPG carrier are the largest one in the same kind of ships at home. Now the corporation has 14 orders for asphalt carrier.
